These types of technology help the health careprofessionals to deliver services without the need to make physicalmovements. The use of these types of modern technology requires ahigh level of technical skills. In addition, the informationtechnology helps the health care providers increase the patientsafety by reducing medical errors. The modern technology is utilizedmore effectively when the health care members of staff are welltrained. Moreover, the records management function of the IT isutilized in the health care in different operations, such asverification of transactions. In the case of Pakistan, which was themain focus on the research conducted by Burney, Mahmood &amp Abbas(2010) the country has managed to enhance the IT skills of the healthcare workforce.

Theextensive integration of the information technology in the healthcare industry implies that the health care workforce has to adjust inorder to fit in the modern health care facilities. This is becausetechnology is highly vulnerable to obsolescence, which means that newtechnologies are adopted as the old ones get obsolete. In thelong-term, leaders in the health care industry should focus onadopting staff training programs that will keep their human resourcesup-to-date. By empowering employees through training on IT programs,the health care facilities will be able to reap the benefits of theinformation technology in the long-run. Therefore, the effectivestrategic plans for the management of the health care human resourcesshould focus on IT-based training.
