Part1Thearticle selected for the analysis is “Adolescentsexual behavior” by Brooks-Gunnand Furstenberg. The abstract of the article is well representative of the article, but the title is not specific enough to represent the contents. Theintroduction gives a clear purpose of the article. Specifically, theintroduction gives a description of the study and the typical flow ofthe article. The rest of the discussion is relevant to the topic andthe subject being explored. The discussion is relevant to the title, the abstract, introduction, the body and the conclusion of thearticle.Inthe article, there is no idea that has been overemphasized or underaccentuated. Therefore, there would be no revision needed for thearticle. The authors have a section that discusses programs towardsaltering contraceptive and sexual behavior (Brooks-Gunn&amp Furstenberg 1989).This section could be discussed further and with specifics of theprograms. The statements by the authors are clear. There are noambiguous statements in the article that can be challenged bysuggestion of clarity. The underlying assumption made by the authoris that most adolescents will engage in sexual behavior before theiradolescent age is over. However, the authors appear to be objectivein the writing and the discussion in the article. The authorsobjectively discuss the findings of their study in relation to theirtopic.Part 2Iselected this article because it offers wide knowledge and studiedreports on the sexual behavior of the adolescents. I am interested tolearn more about the adolescent because I have many relatives who areat this stage, and wanted to learn more about their sexuality. Iliked the article because it gives the potential social, cognitiveand biological processes that affect the sexual behavior of theadolescents. Based on my understanding, this article is practicallyapplicable in the teaching of the adolescent. I think it would bebetter for parents and teachers to read the article so that they canunderstand how to handle the adolescent. ReferencesBrooks-Gunn,J. &amp Furstenberg F. (1989).
